My best artwork was my artwork where I put an inspirational quote on the artwork. I really love this artwork because it doesn't just inspire people but it also shows who I am and what I like to do. This can show people more about my life and what I do. The one artwork I would wanna redo is my artwork made out of clay. I made a softball player swinging the bat to show my care for playing softball. I wanted to redo this artwork because I think I could have done way better on it if I would have takin my time. I would have done everything much better than what it is like right now. In art I have learned that even though sometimes something you are doing is going to be a challenge and it will take time that you should always try to stick with it and don't let someone else change your mind on what you played to do the first time.
One thing I wish we could have done in art was more of experimenting with the different kinds of materials.

Standards EvidenceWhen we looked at the minnesota american indian artist I really was inspired by frank big bear because he drew about his personal life and cultural heritage. I think my artwork is most inspired by Frank big bear because like he did I showed what I do mostly in my life. I put everything together into one and showed who I am. An artwork can really express your life because you can put anything together that is happening in your life and it can be an artwork with people either knowing what your meaning or them not.
For the past two weeks we have been working on a figure for are artwork. I made a softball player swinging a bat. I made this type of figure because I love playing softball. I make it out of clay. To finish the artwork I painted it black, white, gray and red. the hardest part about the artwork was trying to get everything the way I wanted it to be so It would be perfect. The one part I messed up on was that I do not have a neck and it makes it kinda scary looking. The targets I covered where Target A. Create meaningful original work for display. I made an artwork to display but instead of displaying it I am presenting the artwork to the class. Target B consider audience/viewer. I made the artwork based off of my love for playing softball. I think more of the people that enjoy watching or playing sports would best enjoy this artwork. Target C Determine location for display. I am displaying my artwork to the class. The best way for everyone to know about my artwork. Target D Present/Share artwork in a way that enhances the communication of the piece. For everyone to know about my artwork I will explain all if my tough times making this, easy parts, parts I enjoyed, the tools I used and my media. Target E complete thoughtful artist statement. To make my artist statement the best I need to include everything about my artwork throughout the time of making it.
This pass week we have been working on a artwork based on nonrepresentable. My artwork is based of a sunset with a shadow of trees. To make the trees I found a rope like structure that I pulled apart and then painted black. While I was waiting for the black paint to dry I cut out different shapes of cardboard and painted them different colors of the sunset and mixed some of the colors together to make a mixture of them. After all of the materials I am using dried I glued the trees on and piled up the cardboard pieces in different ways on a piece of task board. Once I was done with that I set my artwork down and walked away from it to see if from a further distance to see what else I needed to act to make my artwork better. I decided I was going to put different pieces of paper mache together and cover the bottom as a shadow of grass.
Artist Statement This past week we have been working on architecture. The artwork I did was a city that you could look at from any kind of angle. To build the buildings i used cardboard and paper tape to hold them together. To add more detail i painted all of the buildings and added windows to them. More details are the bushes, The car , and also painting the layout of what my buildings are standing up on. To make my artwork more interesting i build the buildings different sizes. In my opinion the most difficult part about this artwork was getting the buildings to stay together.
For the past week we have been doing media fair. For my first artwork I made a bunny rabbit made out of a sock. I added buttons and a cotton ball for some details. My favorite part about making this was stuffing the sock with the stuffing. My second project was a softball. I used fabric to make this softball. I cut out laces of fabric to add detail to my softball and than stuffed the softball to make it a rounder shape. my favorite part about this project was stitching the softball together. My third project was a donut that I made out of plaster. I painted it with Acrylic paint to add more detail. my favorite part about making this was getting it to the perfect shape that I wanted it. To get my ideas when we looked at the slides I like the Ideas from one of the artist. I looked up more her artworks and found my ideas. I learned from this goal to keep with the artwork i am doing because even though it is hard i wanna keep with it. To find what materials i am willing to use i test out how one will work the best for the project i am doing.
The first two weeks we had Media Fair. I used wire to make the legs on my spider. I had to wrap the wire around the puzzle piece that i used for a body. Next i glued a button down on the spider for a head shape. I found small eye balls that i glued onto the button after. What surprised me is how easily the wire stayed around the puzzle piece. In the future the materials I will use again is the wire because it was easy to work with. I probably not use the subtractive sculpture because i thought it was harder to get it to the shape or design that you want.
Right now I do not consider myself an artist because at some points my artwork can be horrible and other times it can be good. The risks I will take are getting to know how i'm going to do my artwork and how everything is going to plan out with it. I hope to learn to be more in with my artwork to get it done in time and to make it look its best. My goals are to push myself further.
